Privacy Policy — UseBy

UseBy helps you track items with expiry dates. We design the app to work locally first so your data stays on your device whenever possible.
This policy covers two distributions:
- UseBy (International build) — countries/regions outside China Mainland
- UseBy (China Mainland build) — distributed as “保质通（UseBy）” for China Mainland
Common to Both Builds
Data We Handle (Local-first)
- Items & notes (local): Your inventory, expiry dates, categories, images, and notes are stored on your device. We do not upload them for storage.
- Notifications (local): Reminders are scheduled on device (no remote push).
Crash/Diagnostics
- Apple may provide anonymized crash and performance data to help improve stability.
Payments
- In-app purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple. Apple may collect information needed to complete transactions and manage subscriptions.
Your Choices
- Edit/Delete: You can edit or delete items and notes at any time.
- Remove everything: Uninstalling the app removes local data from your device. Any ZIP exports you created remain under your control.
Children’s Privacy
- The app is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
- We may update this policy; changes will appear here with a new date at the top.

UseBy (International build)
This build may integrate industry-standard cloud services for OCR/LLM, analytics, and advertising (if enabled in your version).
OCR/LLM Processing (Transient)
- When you use Scan, the selected photo may be sent via HTTPS to our OCR/LLM provider(s) (e.g., OpenAI, Modal, GCP or equivalent) only to extract product names and dates.
- The image and intermediate artifacts are discarded after processing; only the recognition result returns to your app and is stored locally.
Analytics
- We may use Firebase Analytics to measure anonymized usage (e.g., feature engagement, crash attribution). We do not upload your inventory content for storage.
Advertising
- We may use Google AdMob to serve ads. AdMob (and related Google services) may collect device identifiers and usage signals for ad delivery/measurement.

App Tracking Transparency (iOS)
- If applicable, the app may request ATT permission to improve ad relevance/measurement. You can allow or deny; the app remains usable either way.
Data Sharing & Sale
- We do not sell your personal data.
- We do not share your inventory content with third parties. Transient scan processing occurs solely to return results to you.
Security
- All network calls use HTTPS/TLS. Local data remains on your device; please enable device passcode/biometrics.

保质通（UseBy）用于管理物品的保质/到期信息。我们坚持 本地优先 的设计，让数据尽可能保存在您的设备上并由您掌控。
本政策覆盖两种发行版本：
- UseBy（国际版） — 面向中国大陆以外的国家/地区
- 保质通（UseBy）（中国大陆版本） — 面向中国大陆 App Store
共同条款
我们处理的数据（本地优先）
- 物品与备注（本地存储）： 您的清单、到期日期、分类、图片与备注默认保存在您的设备上，我们不上传至服务器进行存储。
- 通知（本地）： 到期提醒为本地通知（非远程推送）。
崩溃与诊断
- Apple 可能向开发者提供匿名的崩溃与性能数据，用于改进稳定性。
支付
- 应用内购买/订阅由 Apple 处理，Apple 可能为完成交易与管理订阅收集必要信息。
您的选择
- 编辑/删除： 您可随时在应用内编辑或删除内容。
- 彻底移除： 卸载应用将删除设备本地数据；您自行导出的 ZIP 备份由您保管。

- 我们可能不时更新本政策；任何变更会在此页面公布，并在顶部标注最新日期。

UseBy（国际版）
为提升质量与体验，本版本可能按需集成行业通用云服务（如 OCR/大模型、分析与广告等）。若某项在您的版本中未启用，则不会发生相应处理；我们将随版本变更及时更新本页面。
OCR/大模型识别（临时处理）
- 使用“扫描”功能时，图片可能通过 HTTPS 安全传输至我们的 OCR/大模型服务提供方（如 OpenAI、Modal、GCP 等），仅用于抽取名称与日期。
- 服务器端会在处理完成后删除图片及中间产物；仅将识别结果返回至您的设备并本地保存。
分析
- 我们可能使用 Firebase Analytics 进行匿名使用统计（如功能使用、崩溃归因）。我们不会上传您的清单内容用于存储。
广告
- 我们可能使用 Google AdMob 展示广告。AdMob（及相关 Google 服务）可能收集设备标识与使用信号用于投放/衡量。

保质通（UseBy）（中国大陆版本）
本版本不集成 Firebase、Google AdMob、OpenAI/Modal/GCP 等境外服务；仅在必要时使用 阿里云 完成 OCR/大模型识别，其余数据以本地优先方式存储于您的设备。
扫描识别（临时处理）
- 当您使用“扫描”功能时，所选图片会通过 HTTPS 安全传输至我们部署在 阿里云函数计算（中国大陆） 的服务，仅用于 OCR/大模型识别（如提取名称、生产/到期日期）。
- 识别完成后，服务器会删除该图片与中间产物；仅将识别结果返回到您的设备并本地保存。
分析与广告
- 不启用第三方广告：当前版本不集成第三方广告 SDK，也不展示广告。
- 不启用个人分析：当前版本不收集个人分析数据。若未来引入匿名统计，我们会在本页面更新，并在需要时提供选择。
数据共享与出售
- 我们不出售您的个人数据。
- 我们不与第三方共享您的清单内容。扫描仅在服务器上临时处理，目的仅为将识别结果返回给您。
安全
- 到服务器的传输采用 HTTPS/TLS 加密。
- 本地数据由您的设备保存；建议开启设备密码/生物识别进行保护。
